The essential tool for ALL AMOS Programmers.
Writing a game that requires masses of graphics??
If so, then get this. Image Compressor squashes pictures to a fraction
of their size, more than 50% in some cases. Pictures can be compressed
using the AMOS squasher or by using the popular Powerpacker library (not
supplied). An essential utility for all programmers, but don't just take
my word for it:
@3
'Image Compressor is lovely to look at, easy to use and does it's
job extremely well.' Rating : 95%@3
AMOSZINE ISSUE 3 OCTOBER 94.
@7 *** NEW VERSION 2.0 ***@4
Version 2.0 of Image Compressor will be out soon. It will NOT be PD!!!
The new version will feature a new batch mode allowing you to compress
many pictures in one go and a thumbnail facility. A CLI viewer is
included which will allow you to create slideshows. It can view all the
compressed files. You will also be able to compress animations, allowing
you to include impressive animations in your games at a fraction of their
usual size. Plus the FULL source code!!!

A game by A. Smith
A fast paced game with tons of graphics and sound. Rid the lunar base
of the fear called Gigerphobia. Described as

gameplay. Keep at it and the levels go up with intensity, triggering
sirens, flashing colours and finally an explosion which takes out the
whole screen.'

If you'd like the demo version of either Gigerphobia or Image Compressor
then send a disk and SAE (Stamped Addressed Envelope, and say what you
want!!) to the following address:

The Totally Tipz Project
@1 ------------------------
This article is all about my new programme called TOTALLY TIPZ, which is
programmed by me (Ricky Porter). TOTALLY TIPZ is of course a cheat book on
a few disks. I`m not shore yet how many disks it`s going to be on as I`ve
not as yet finished packing everything down.
TT (Short for TOTALLY TIPZ) was started at around May 18th 1994, it will
be finished roughly around early December/January 94/95. The thing that has
taken the longest on this hasn`t been the main engine and all the program-
ming, but the typing out of all the cheats, solutions and Replay Codes, I
did have some help, but not much. TOTALLY TIPZ is being written on a A500+
with 2Meg ram and a 2nd drive. The programming was done on Amos Professional
and the graphics on D-paint III.It is a real bummer using only 2 drives,
when your handling hunderds of files which needs to be loaded quickly, it
does waste time. For TOTALLY TIPZ itself,it has around 425 short cheats and
tips, 65 Action Replay Codes and 40 complete solutions and realms of tips.
Many of these are for the very lasted games and CD32 owners won`t miss out,
as thay have their fair amount of CD game cheats. TT will also include two
main functions, that are Print - this isn`t that special, so no more said,
and Search click on this ,type in the name of the game needed and TT will
search through all the tips etc. And try to find it, this will be very useful
as it`ll be alot easier than scrolling all through the lists of cheats and
this of course speeds things up. There are many other cheat books out there
but what I`ve found with all of them is there one or more problems.Either
they are way over priced, not enough cheats on there, or they only include
cheats, and not solutions. As you with TOTALLY TIPZ is it has managed to solve
all of them. So get ready to see TOTALLY TIPZ in the magazines, getting rave
reviews and it will be availble from F1 Licenceware (if accepted) in a few
months time, for a mesley 3.99 - 4.99. One last thing that must say is if
anyone out there, is intrested in creating games of high standard, (note:
I`m looking for an artist) then send a disk with examples of your art work
to:

FORTRESS SOURCE CODE
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^@4
That decent chap, Lee Bamber, has decided to give away some of his
coding secrets by selling the source code to his excellent F1 title
FORTRESS. For a measly £6 you get the best of Lee's programming
knowledge. Not only that, this means you won't have to buy the game
off F1 for £3.99! Hold on! what's in it for F1? Nothing! Lee keeps
all the dosh you send him, Why? To prove F1 care about keeping their
programmers happy. Yes, this is a publicity stunt!! NOT. We just
want Lee to get some reward for the effort he has put into his
quality games, as so far he has been unrewarded.
So you can change all this and get your hands on the hottest sauce
since H.P Chilli, by sending six quid to Lee at the address below.
Please state Original Amos or Amos Pro version (same price)
